As of June we returned to in-room dining with limited seating and Covid-19 precautions still in place (masks, distancing, etc.). We are also serving takeout to those uncomfortable with in-room dining.

We employ a staff that is responsible for cooking the meals, washing dishes, ensuring security and a welcoming presence at the door, and overseeing the work of the volunteers that help serve each meal. A Meal and More's volunteer Board of Directors oversees general operations, staffing, volunteer coordination, publicity, fund raising, grant writing, and financial management.

Volunteers play an essential role!
Setting tables, assisting with meal preparation, serving food, and helping with cleanup.
Volunteers 16-17 years old are welcome with an adult and a signed permission slip.
In 2021, we served 9,940 meals. In 2020, we served 10,631 meals. These are two of our highest years ever in terms of meals served.
Our chef, Cordero, is broadcasting mid-day during the week on FM station 97.1, WEPL, which is owned by the Ibero American Action League as a service to the Rochester Latino community.
In December, we lost a great friend and colleague, Rhonda Burgos, who passed away suddenly. We miss her positive spirit.
Recently we have received two generous equipment gifts. Mrs. H.P. Clark gave us a meat slicer about a year ago. And just recently, Mary Ann Hrankowski donated a Cuisinart and a food processor.
